I'm sure you've heard of the incident this weekend. What are your thoughts on it?

I don't think Ward had any reason to be mad in the first place. He didn't have the position or the line to make that pass. He never should have been that low on the track yellow flag or not.


I thought Stewart intentionally tried to get close to him the first time I watched it. There's a still pulled from the video that you can see Ward was right in the middle of the car and should have gone straight underneath. Whatever Stewart did in that split second got the car over so the wheel hit him instead of going underneath. Ward got out of his black car in a black fire suit (both of these are violations to the rules) to walk on the darkest corner of the track at night. The results are less than surprising and extremely unfortunate. I was telling my wife these sort of things are going to keep happening as long as they let the drivers get out on the track without some serious penalties (fines, suspensions, etc.).


They let it slide because the fans love the drama.

Dale pretty much said it. The dude got out of his car on a hot track, in a dark corner and started walking down. Nothing good is going to come from doing that. I don't think tony intentionally tried to hit him. Yes he hit the throttle, probably to get around/miss him but not to run him over on purpose. Looked like the ass end slid and put him into the other driver. People get out of their cars often in the races to yell at other drivers but none of them ever go that far down the track and directly in front of an oncoming car. 100% Wards fault.

And lets not forget the giant wing on the front that blocks part of your view.

Its redneck on redneck crime, I give it as little thought as hood rats shooting each other. I'm sure they were probably drinking coors light and got into an argument about who's sister was prettier before taking to the track. With the dust flying off the track and the inbred jealous rage, I doubt the fat redneck saw the skinny redneck. He was probably thinking about how many dicks he could suck after the race and not be gay rather than avoiding the random pedestrian retard.
