I have now found a decent tag that only the guys on dual sports will venture to. I will have to give this away a little, but I know Jay will go get it anyways. I was out snooping northwest of me and came across this huge low water crossing that turns in the middle of it. its rreally tricky when the water is up, (unfortunately it didn't have water in it). There are also several old house foundations, an old basement, (can't get into it unless you want poison ivy), and lots of oil wells.

That's the former community of Wildhorse. I think the basement you found was probably the old school. Did it have a couple sets of steps up and over where the fence used to be? Looking at old maps, it appears there used to be a couple dozen houses, a school, and a church out there.

Did you see this? It was just east of the low water crossing. Lisa wouldn't let me walk across it...

I work at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. You want old maps, I have old maps. Old topos, old boundary plots, I found today, a list of old cemeteries that had to be moved when lakes were built. List all the people, their location in the plots, and how they were moved to the new cemeteries to match the old ones... kinda creepy really.

It's highway 11 and it ends at highway 281 so it's east of Alva. Not all the way to the panhandle but still could be out there. :up

We thought about riding up to Pawhuska yesterday, then coming back on East 11 to see if it was in that stretch. We ended up not riding at all.
